Before releasing Diet Coda 1.5, we thought the web page could use a little updating. That simple plan, as it tends to do around here, turned into a from-scratch redesign. "Do we still need screenshots? Aren't those in the iTunes Store? A movie? Who watches those? What else can we do?" Smash cut to a month later, and a brand new page for Diet Coda that features a world's first: an in-browser live iOS app demo with our own dynamic narration. See below. The experience felt like a nice slice of Panic: if you're gonna do a thing, do a great thing. That sounded a lot cornier than I had hoped. Anyway, here's what's new at your Mac/iOS software company! Read on! ** DIET CODA 1.5 ** This free update to our iPad code editor can be summarized with two major new features: LOCAL FILES, including Dropbox sync, and MORE SYNTAX MODES, including Perl, Python, Ruby, Markdown, and more. We also added Coda site importing, 1Password integration, a lot of bug fixes, and much more. And it's still just $20. Site syncing, an iOS 7 redesign, and...) ** CAMPO SANTO ** A cool thing happened to Panic since I last wrote: video games. Long time Panic friend Jake (he once made Audion faces!), who recently worked on 2013 Game Of The Year "The Walking Dead" with his friend Sean, wanted to set up their own studio to make incredible new things. They were looking for funding, and Panic stepped up. Here's a great article on Polygon about it all! HEATHER has jumped head-first into work on Prompt, adding new features while doing a thoughtfully-done iOS 7 UI update with Neven. MATTT, who some of you may know from his AFNetworking framework or NSHipster blog, will be calling on his extensive modern web development knowledge to help chart the course of Coda's future. Finally, AARON brings his technical experience and troubleshooting patience to our already helpful support team. In short, great people are here making great things for you. I'm extremely excited about this group of people. ** EXTRAS ** Some Panic miscellany for your linking enjoyment. =E2=80=A2 Information at a Glance with Status Board [http://www.theinstructional.com/guides/customising-panics-status-board].
